Canvas Painting

Paintings on canvas; was introduced in 2001 as a new vocation for women in Sirigu. The traditional colours, designs and motives were used to develop the Sirigu School of painting. Intensive training took place to help the women to make the transition from painting on small canvas. But the use of colours, the style, composition and themes remained based on the ancient tradition.
